Competitive

The National Development group is for athletes who have achieved success in qualifying for high level
regional, inter-provincial, and national meets and are competing in swimming as their primary extra-curricular activity.
The National group is reserved for athletes who have qualified for SNC national competitions at any time in their swimming career and who have committed to maintain the training required to represent CNBO at the National level. These athletes are expected to maintain the training habits that are required for qualification for national competition. The National Development group is reserved for athletes who are working toward SNC National Qualification. Training habits that will help these athletes reach SNC qualification will be expected.

*It remains a goal to offer a scafolded program option to represent a growth progression between these 2 groups.

Athletes in these groups are currently qualified, or approaching qualification, for competition & training initiatives at the following levels:
- SNC national competitions (Easterns, Canadian Swimming Championships, Trials)
- Regional & Inter-Provincial Championships
- SwimNB Performance Program Camps + NextGen Program Camps

Athletes in these groups will be eligibile, and expected, to swim a full schedule that matches their capacity. Strength & Conditioning (dryland) will be added when appropriate and available.
